The Colombia Thread - Zolo - 02-08-2017

I'm be arriving in Cartagena at the end of the month and hanging there for five days.

I'll also be hitting up carnival in Barranquilla and Tayrona.

After that it's on to Medellin and Bogota.

Any nightlife recommendations? I'll obviously be reporting back!

from what ive heard cartagena is flooded with pros

RE: The Colombia Thread - Zolo - 02-09-2017

I got a girlfriend from there who comes from a good family and has a decent income, so luckily I won't have to deal with that.

I used to live in Colombia and have been to all the places you are going to

Any questions, let me know.

(don't skip santa marta. If fact I would make that your base for Barranquilla / tayrona)

RE: The Colombia Thread - nomadphilippines - 02-12-2017

i have one (long winded) question

lets say you plan to move there in 6 months, know minimal spanish and dont want a girlfriend just some casual hook ups (knowing that if things dont work out p4p is available, cuz im not sure my 'lol easy mode' phils game will work there) and live on roughly 1500ish a month (500-700 for rent, 300ish for food, 300-500ish for entertainment)

what cities would you say are best for that? right now it seems like medellin but also sounds like too many whitey's are already going there

RE: The Colombia Thread - AwesomeX - 02-23-2017

Even though there a lot of gringos in Medellin. There is still a lot of fun to be had. When I was there during the month of Novemeber 2016 I mostly stuck to online, and daygame to find girls. Even though I'm not much of a disco guy anymore, I still had a great time. Cali is another city that is decent to find hot girls, although a bit more rough around the edges than Medellin.

I am currently living in Medellin and if you stay away from El Poblado you won't see many gringos at all. Laureles has some foreigners floating around but not too many. The rest of the city is pretty much devoid of white-faced invaders. I had good luck on Twitter with Colombian hotties when I first got here.

Twitter? Do you mean Tinder? Twitter game would be revolutionary!!!!

Sometimes 140 characters is all it takes ! (yes, good catch ... Tinder)

RE: The Colombia Thread - nomadphilippines - 02-28-2017

so what would be a good safe area to stay outside of el poblado?

RE: The Colombia Thread - johnnycache - 02-28-2017

I would suggest the following areas within Medellin proper: Floresta/La America (not far from Estadio) and Belen. Good areas on the edge of Medellin proper but inside the Valley of Aburra include: Itagui, Sabaneta and Envigado. Happy hunting !

cool thanks

RE: The Colombia Thread - Zolo - 03-14-2017

Here are some videos I've made so far from Colombia.

Carnaval in Barranquilla

Tayrona Park

Horseriding in Jardin (beautiful place)

This might just be my new favourtie country.

RE: The Colombia Thread - Angus Young - 03-17-2017

Bogota is a shit hole...rain, ugly, traffic, dangerous

Baranquia is a boring hot shit hole

Medellin is great...beautiful weather, girls etc but full of gringos now

RE: The Colombia Thread - Zolo - 03-19-2017

Yeah... Bogota is a bit shitty, but I love the nightlife there. Great underground and rock scene. Medelling is nice, but I love Cartagena too. I just finished a YouTube vid about Colombia. Will post soon.
