Help Me Out
Hola, hola gents,

I need your help.

As part of a project for university I've been tasked with setting up a travel blog. I've been told that the site must be aimed at a readership of between 18 to late 20s which aims to inspire and inform travellers who are keen to get out and see the world. Unfortunately, I won't be able to include articles about game/flagging/picking up bud/getting hammered and all of man's other vices.

However, I still need something unique, some may say an X factor (pardon the cliche) that will set me apart from other travel blogs and this is where I'm struggling.

Regardless of your age, status, nationality and what not, what would you as a reader want to see on a travel blog and what do you think could be an influencing factor that would set my site apart from every other blog out there?

I'll consider all suggestions and don't worry, it's only a temporary site so I won't be giving NN, VoV or anyone else a run for their money...yet!

Thanks in advance lads, your opinions are most welcome.

Travelling on a budget.
Making an income whilst travelling.
Useful aps to use whilst overseas.
Cheapest ways to access your cash overseas.

etc etc

The travelling on a budget and making money whilst travelling have been done to death.

What about picking a destination, like a city for example, and finding out 'alternative' things to do that most tourists don't know about.

RE: Help Me Out
First and foremost thanks to both of you for your suggestions, I'll be able to implement elements of both.

The alternative route is something is definitely need to look at, just so it can be 'different' which basically means I won't lose my markers interest! Unfortunately, I've been told that I can't do an individual location as it's not expansive enough. Initially I suggested a Balkan-centred specialised blog, but that was ignored. So my level is more macro than micro, which is a pain.

Anyway, cheers again, the process of putting it together is coming on, and I'll have to bullshit part of it (as I've not as well travelled as some), though that leaves me space for creativity!
